i believe in tribes, not teams. we all have to find our people, our tribes. then we look out for each other. that's how i roll, at work and in life.

corporate teambuilding is a sham because it's involuntary. compulsory cooperation doesn't hold up over the long term. but then again, most workplaces don't give a shit about the long-term.

Jen - I'm glad you & Stephen Covey 2.0 came out to see me in the country. I throw a good party. Maybe I'll have a party once the kittens are adopted???

Col - Isn't that kitten the most awesome kitten in the world? Nothing is wrong when you have a happy kitten with a fat belly. Also, the fake Stephen Covey lives in Michigan and believes that teams are essential to a corporation. His wife and I agree that teams are the refuge of losers.

sounds like a delightful evening. friends rule. so do kittens with tiger stripes on their bellies.

BTW your fake out was highly effective ... i did a wikipedia search to verify that "Covey lives with his wife Sandra, and their family in Provo, Utah, home to Brigham Young University where Dr. Covey taught prior the publication of his best selling book."
