I’m not a big fan of Hey Soul Sister. That’s too bad because my dear friend, Sarah White, loves that song.
I heard that song for the first time, years ago, after I turned off my car but left my headlights on during a long phone conversation in a parking lot outside of my gym. I ended the call, went on the elliptical machine for 45 minutes, and came outside to a dead battery.
Pfffft.
Plus the song is a goddamn ear worm.
Train has a new song out, this summer, called Angel in Blue Jeans.
You can skip it (trust me) and listen to these other songs that remind me of Train.
I’m going to ask my friends with great taste to take an awful, trendy summer song and tell me what it reminds them of and what we should listen to instead.
