The “Let’s Fix Work” Fund: Underwrite Your Appearance on Punk Rock HR

Here’s the deal. You pitch me to appear on Punk Rock HR constantly because you want to you sell technology or services into the HR and tech community. Now I have a simple underwriting package that works for both of us.

It goes like this: You pay for your appearance, which underwrites the production of your episode.  But you also get a two-for-one deal and underwrite a second episode featuring a practitioner who isn’t selling anything except good ideas. Here’s an example of a vendor who bought sponsorship on Punk Rock HR. If this deal had been around, they’d also underwrite someone like Dr. Lisa Scott talking about autism at work. Now, you’d get credit for both.

What you get:

  • An underwriting statement at the beginning of the show
  • A mid-roll commercial break
  • A thank-you at the end
  • Your branding on the episode’s show notes and transcript
  • Promotion on my LinkedIn feed (80,000 followers) and the Punk Rock HR newsletter, which reaches about 50,000 people

This is the cheapest way I’ll ever talk about your product or service. And it funds real conversations about work that matter.

Why This Exists

Punk Rock HR covers work, technology, hiring, AI, leadership, employment litigation, corporate power, and the general shenanigans of having a job you’re trying to enjoy. I’ve hosted guests who make an impact on the professional lives of executives, people leaders, managers, CHROs, VPs of talent, and everyday HR professionals doing the work.

Each episode costs thousands to produce and distribute. I don’t use AI to assemble the show. I have a team of humans who edit, produce, and distribute every episode, and they need to pay their bills. I’ve invested in updated equipment and a recording service subscription to make it sound great.

Punk Rock HR doesn’t generate leads for me. I’m not a professional podcaster. Fewer than 10% of podcasts make any money at all, and I’ve been fine with that. But it’s time to stop relying on community generosity and volunteerism to keep the show on air. The “Let’s Fix Work” fund covers costs and pays the people who do the work without me dipping into my savings account.

Nobody gets rich here. I just get less poor.
