I listen to a lot of podcasts. I drive a fair amount and I love to listen to good conversationalists talk about work, culture, success, failure, and fun. I love Laurie’s podcast for a number of reasons – format, length and flow of conversation. Highly recommend.

Let’s Fix Work changed the podcast game for me. I adore each episode because of the authentic and real life approach Laurie and all of her guests take towards work and fixing work. Work is broken all over the place and Laurie tackles that with guests from all different backgrounds to figure out how we can fix it little by little.

I just listened to my first podcast in this series this week. If I can survive on an elliptical machine while listening, then it was engaging. Laurie has a natural, to the point conversational style that sticks to the subject. I look forward to more episodes.

Laurie is a fantastic interviewer, with great insight and who offers tons of added value and fabulous takeaways. I recommend this to any professional across industries!

I’ve been listening to Laurie’s podcast for a while now. This podcast has challenged me as a leader to be open minded and to think about and view work perspective from a different lens. Laurie has a special talent for interviewing her guests that bring great value for her listeners. 5 Stars for me!

Thank you for the authenticity and direct conversations to help us get through the outdated ways to lead and work. Individuals need to find or create where they can be at their best. Hopefully others will pick up on insights to make their enviroments healthier while having a positive impact on others.

Disclosure: I’ve known Laurie for awhile now, so I was primed to be excited for her podcast. The good news is…I am not disappointed. Laurie has found guests from a variety of backgrounds and perspectives to talk about work, leadership, dreams and reality. I’ve enjoyed listening to her guests so far and learn something new every episode!
– Mary Faulkner, 04/18/2018
I’m so excited Laurie stared this podcast and this conversation. I couldn’t agree with her more that work is broken! I’m also drawn to her optimism that work can be fixed if only we allowed ourselves to reframe out mindsets about work. Amazing guests, offfering powerful insights about how you can start fixing work for yourself!

As a faculty member at a liberal arts college, I spend a lot of time talking to young people about what their futures will be like. This podcast is giving me some great ideas to present to my students to challenge their thinking about those futures and how they can change things for the better.
– jtodd1973, 04/12/2018
I just listened to the first episode of the podcast, and if Laurie continues to talk to interesting people like Scott, this show should get really popular. Laurie’s unique brand of charm, wit, snark, and delicately-placed eff bombs was applied really nicely to the topic and does not disappoint. I also appreciate that they’re a fairly quick listen.
– dcann, 03/30/2018
Laurie has launched her podcast strong with a set of amazing guests who focus on not doing things the way everyone else does them. This allows a unique perspective on how to make work stop sucking and start taking risks so we can connect and not continue to do the same things that fail us time and time again.
– Atlscgrad, 03/30/2018
Through her blogs, Laurie has always been good at spotting what’s wrong in today’s workspaces, and has shared some good ideas on what to do about it. But a 400 word blog post can’t generate the kind of ideas a good conversation with someone who is actively trying to change things can. In her first few programs, Laurie has started strong with people who know what they are talking about. This is not workplace philosophy, but actionable ideas. I recommend this for anyone who manages people, not just HR folks.
– TJGardner, 03/30/2018
With her usual flair Laurie has launched another offering that is engaging and makes you think. You may agree or disagree, but it will make you think.
– Fix Work, 03/31/2018
Now with a podcast, Laurie is literally the voice in my head, streaming in through my earbuds. I am loving it! I don’t know if she can fix work, but no one knows its brokeness better than she does. She has a way of making it relevant to everyone – artists and failed employees like me, HR pros, and CEO’s alike. Laurie is a woman changing all the rules and making work work for more than just a few.
– BZTAT, 03/31/2018
“Let’s Fix Work” combines fascinating discussions with interesting people and Laurie’s Get Real sensibility to create an intelligent exploration of how all of us–workers, HR, management, and even us “unemployables”–can empower ourselves to transform work into an experience where we don’t constantly feel as though we’re exchanging our soul for an inadequate paycheck. I am excited to hear more from Laurie and her guests!
– Planet Vicster, 04/01/2018
I’ve listened to the first two episodes, and can not wait for the next one. Laurie does a great job asking the right questions and leading the right direction to make her guests’ journey accessible and applicable to everyone pulling their hair out to fix themselves and their relationship with work!
– svsc23, 04/02/2018
Laurie does an excellent job of making you think differently about work and the role it plays in peoples’ lives. I’ve known her for years and would heartily recommend listening to her new podcasts.
– Gary.Kushner, 04/02/2018
This was my first time listening and I loved it! Laurie did a terrific job and Scott is at ease and confident in his decisions! Loved it!
– Rene Mathews, 04/03/2018
What I’ve always enjoyed and responded to with Laurie’s content is that it doesn’t drag on with clenched teeth hoping to make Every. Last. Point. She clearly picks a topic and, in this case, a guest to speak with her about it. Record, edit (edit edit edit) and voilà: point made with some real food for thought layered in. This podcast series retains all of that goodness in its format, provides the listener with real-ish-time topics that benefit all types of listeners. If you work, you should listen.

Work broke for me in September 2017, and I’m excited to join Laurie on this journey to it. The first three episodes were thought provoking and fun. I’m looking forward to what she has planned and how this budding community can take action along the way.
– hdombeck, 04/05/2018
I’m grateful to be able to follow Laurie’s podcast! She does a terrific job of sharing ideas around how organizations & HR professionals can be creative in making a difference in the future of work. I’m a big fan, Laurie! Keep up the great work, my friend! Much Aloha!

Laurie is the best type of leader – she’s authentic, smart, intuitive, and helps you cut through the nonsense. She knows you take your whole self to work and she isn’t afraid to be real. It’s so refreshing to hear someone talk about work this way! Looking forward to hearing more.
– This Isn’t My Real Name, 12/16/2019
Laurie is fantastic!!!!! I highly recommend her podcast.
– Dustin098, 12/16/2019
I’ve been following Laurie since the Punk Rock HR days. She’s true to herself and has a fresh take on HR, how to impact employees and how to fix work for everyone. Fantastic interviews covering topics I didn’t even know I needed to hear. I learn something new each week and am starting to fix work for me!
– foxeinsoxe, 12/16/2019
Laurie has been kicking *** and taking names since her days as the force behind Punk Rock HR. She’s a great storyteller and interviewer, and she’s not afraid to step on some toes to tell it like it is. The information is always useful, and often makes me rethink something I thought was a settled matter before. I’m glad she threads in bits about her personal life and opinions, too. It’s always a value add and one of many things that sets Let’s Fix Work apart from the let’s-hold-hands-and-sing-Kumbaya faux positivity crowd. Laurie keeps it real!
– TheChicagoSound, 12/16/2019
I’ve been a fan of Laurie’s for a long time now. I appreciate her straight-forward take on work and everything that feeds into it— our egos, our needs, and the world we live in. This podcast isn’t for unquestioning followers, it’s for leaders and those who are ok with challenging the status quo.
– Birches616, 12/16/2019
Start anywhere. This is a great podcast for anyone who cares about work.
– resstrunt, 12/16/2019
It’s not easy to navigate the choppy waters of how power, privilege, autonomy, technology, identities, etc play at work, but this podcast does it in a way that is both interesting and insightful. For anyone that is interested in the systems of work this is for you. Not interested in systems of work, but have a job? This is also for you!
– Katiepdx2013, 12/17/2019
I love this podcast! Laurie’s knowledge and topics help me remember why I love HR and I’ve already learned so much more about how to fix work. Her Self Leadership talk and Take control of your career podcast was eye opening!
– kaykendall, 12/17/2019
I made a career change to the HR field almost 2 years ago. This podcast has been so vital for me and my growth in my career. I enjoy the content and the relevant topics of discussion.
